Henk de Weerdt is the chief information officer for UofL Physicians. Henk has served as chief technology officer since 2011. In that role, Henk helped drive the IT operational maturity in standardization, process improvement and KPI's - striving for operational excellence. He also established the computing and storage infrastructure for UofL Physicians' Allscripts and GE Centricity systems; implemented various systems and applications for increased productivity and customer satisfaction and demonstrated a keen ability to align the strategic technology vision with the calculated business blueprint by utilizing best in breed technologies and practices. Prior to joining UofL Physicians, Henk was the chief technology officer for the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. He also has experience as a computer consultant and system analyst. Henk has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
